“I’ve been an OT for about 28 years and this was the best, most interesting CEU course I have ever taken! Maybe it just “came at the right time.” The information was very well presented. Both instructors were clear, and as a student I got the benefit of two different styles and approaches to the topic. Thank you also to the students who participated live and were agreeable to being recorded. Their perspectives, plans, and questions added to the value of the course for me. There was so much information presented that I want to listen to it all again!” Laney McDonald, MS, OTR/L
“This class was everything I hoped for and more. I was very impressed with the amount of information provided. Ana and Emmy are exceptional instructors that have amazing energy and knowledge. I came away with a new perspective and understanding. I am forever grateful for the outpouring encouragement and support that was provided during this course.” Jennifer Johnson, OTR/L
“I thought that this class was well thought out and well taught. It had the perfect combination of participation/discussion and teaching that kept me engaged. This class clarified so many questions that I had for coaching others. It not only provided me with the motivation to move forward but the skills to do so with confidence. Thanks!” Megan Carroll, MOT, OTR/L
“Both Emmy and Ana were very helpful in helping me to see how OT and coaching Health and Wellness are a natural fit. I believe coaching is something I can use to help my clients reach their health and wellness goals. It helped me see more clearly my own beliefs and put what I value into words. Thanks so much validating what I’ve known for years but have been unable to see the bigger picture. I’m already using Holistic modalities and I teach Yoga. Thank you both for your knowledgeabout OT and coaching and I really appreciate your expertise. It helps to see the importance of using my OT background and credentials to back up my coaching practice.” Kelly Riska, OTR/L, RYT, LMT
“I found this class to be extremely beneficial in introducing me to a new way of thinking through coaching as an OT. In many ways, I feel that I have coached my patients throughout my entire career; however pivoting to the new perspective and approach as taught by Emmy and Ana feels more natural to what my spirit has been calling for me to do as an OT since the beginning. Thank you, Emmy and Ana for your time and effort in providing such a quality course.” Diana Duganitz, MOT, OT/L, CHT
“This class validated why I love my profession so much! Occupational therapists ARE the original life coach, and this class gives ample evidence to prove that. I love the yin and yang energy from Emmy and Ana. They balance each other out very well, and both have their own unique backgrounds, experiences, and knowledge to share. Whether you want to use these skills in your own coaching practice, or in your current position as an occupational therapist, it is very helpful and empowering.” Mallory Jackson, LOTR, MOT, RYT
“This class was amazing and provided the push I was needing to continue with preparation of turning my desire into reality. The class provided great detail on how to merge both OT and being a life coach, as were are the original life coaches. Both Emmy and Ana were personable and very knowledgeable about this topic. I highly recommend this course if you have that restlessness in your soul to serve in an unorthodox yet intended way.” Eddwina Smith
“What an incredible weekend. The topics presented in this course validated the uniqueness of our OT profession as the original life coaches and the important health, wellness and prevention contributions that we can provide to help empower individuals, organizations and the community to reach their highest occupational performance potentials. Emmy and Ana did a fantastic job in outlining the skill sets of International Coach Federation (ICF) and Occupational Therapy Framework, integrating updated research, theoretical approaches and OT practice and providing experiential sessions to promote confidence and enthusiasm to continue with further education.” Kathy Foley
“This class was fantastic, thank you Emmy and Ana! It was just what I was hoping for, and just what I needed to get me motivated and excited about what else I can do as an OT, given my interests, experience, and stage of my career. Through working with a partner, I got some clarity on my own goals, and I feel less doubtful about what I can truly achieve.” Eileen Zeidman, MS, OTR/L; MA, TESOL
“This was, by far, the best course I have attended of late. Emmy and Ana are wonderful presenters and facilitators. I came to the course scattered, disillusioned with my profession and ready to give it up entirely. I’ve known for a while that I need to make a change, but I forgot where I wanted to go. Ana and Emmy have given me the tools I need to make a plan and follow it to my future in my profession of OT. This course was full of theory and practical application, and the time to practice was really the first step to the realization that this change is within my grasp. Thank you.” Melissa Hart
“I truly enjoyed this class!! Very informal and practical to implement in my OT career… whether using right away with my current clients in home health or in the future if I want to dive into being a Health & Wellness Coach on my own. I’m always wanting to learn advanced practice OT skills and this class is valuable either way!! Ana and Emmy are very experienced and knowledgeable to teach this class and offer exciting charisma and leadership for participants. I look forward to what they have to offer next!!” Anna Bromeland, OTR/L
“Thank you so much Emmy and Ana for sharing your expertise as OTs in health and wellness. This course has given me the courage and understanding on how I can grow my skills as a coach and OT in health and wellness. I really appreciate the time you both took to show how the OT Framework supports this area and how we as OTs can become involved. I also really liked how you both provided information and research on the neuroplasticity as it relates to coaching.” Kari Burmeister, OTR/L
“I thoroughly enjoyed the course, both the content and the delivery. Ana and Emmy complement each other so well; both their energies were fabulous and they both have a wealth of knowledge, which has helped in making my overall experience of the course exceptional. I was able to achieve clarity with how I intend to pair my current OT skills and the new coaching skills I’ve learned. It really has given me the confidence to know that I already possess the skills in becoming an excellent coach and there was practical information that I learned that I can start using immediately. I will be using the manual as an ongoing reference because it has summarized so many essential points. Also, since I’ve been out of school for some time, it’s great to have a refresher on some of the theories and frameworks that we reference from an OT perspective. I would recommend this course to all OTs because I think what we learn from here can enhance how we practice in general and better serve our clients.” Mayleen Torres, OT Reg.(Ont)
“The knowledge you and Anna have shared is priceless, and the handouts are worth the course alone!” Shauna McFadden
“This class was amazing. I have been an OT for almost 8 years in Alabama & recently started my own business using Holistic & Integrative approaches. This class was dynamite for helping to empower & educate me on ways OT can and SHOULD be practiced! In all settings! Thank you Emmy & Ana so so much!” Magan H. Gramling, OTR/L, CLT, CMF
“I would highly recommend this class to any OT who is interested in either moving to a coaching model or who wants to incorporate coaching into their current practice. The instructors are passionate about their work and this comes across in their teaching style.” Alison Koblin MA OTR
“Ana and Emmy empowered and equipped all class participants with the necessary knowledge to understand how coaching falls within our OT practice framework and licensure. Best of all, they assured us and explained why we do *NOT* need to spend our valuable time and money to get additional coaching certifications, because as national board-certified OTs we’re already qualified!!” Nicole Gordon OTR/L
“This class will help you to feel comfortable interacting with your clients. It will give information on how to tell others why health & wellness and coaching are an integral part of OT.” Rebecca Fowles, M.S., OTR/L, LVT
“This was a great class! Well done to the both of you! I learned so many things and gained very valuable knowledge that will help me not only in my current OT practice setting but for a future coaching program I wish to develop at my current place of employment. Please consider offering a marketing class to supplement this course as it would be very helpful to us OT’s who are beginning to transition from one practice setting to another. I really enjoyed the course and look forward to taking future ones.” Sherri Madsen, OTR
“Great course with researched based, up-to-date information regarding OT and Coaching. This course definitely builds confidence to pursue coaching without seeking out additional certifications. Thank you Emmy and Ana!” Sarah Behrends, MS, OTR/L
“I just finished the course and I really enjoyed it. The topics covered were very relevant to what I was looking for and gave me a host of resources. My only disappointment was that I was not able to be live with the rest of the group. That being said, I still felt a strong sense of being part of an innovative approach to treatment..ie: the prevention model..as opposed to the sickness model.” Jillian Minor COTA
“It is both encouraging and empowering to have experienced this training . As and OT that has been focusing on more integrative practices, this training was so help to encourage and affirm that I am headed in the right direction in following non traditional practices with clients that I know to be helpful. Thank you for sharing your knowledge of what we can continue to reach for as OT’s and offer the people we serve.” Trista Richardson MS OTR/L
“Emmy and Anna have put together a fantastic resource to give OT’s the confidence and knowledge that we have already been trained to offer health and wellness coaching. It’s a core part of Occupational Therapy! Their knowledge is thorough and grounded in experience, and they teach with great wisdom, passion and kindness. All OT’s should do this course before any other health coaching course. You may realize, as I did, that you already have the training to coach well! Annette Gardiner-Wynn
“This course has helped me realize the potential I have providing OT services (and using coaching skills) in health and wellness. There were so many take-aways! I feel empowered and motivated to take the next steps to opening my own practice. It’s what I needed at exactly the right time. Thank you, Emmy and Ana!” Melissa Jorden, OT
“Emmy and Ana really work well together as co-teachers in this course! They balance each other well and are both very knowledgeable in holistic OT and coaching. Although I was not live for this course, I could truly feel their passion for helping us learn how to develop/follow our intuition and create a path that supports the engagement of meaningful occupations with our clients. It was empowering to hear from individuals with like-mindsets and I feel more confident in the possibilities that exist for my future!” Jacqueline O’Brien, OTR/L
