Biographical Info

Anne has been an occupational therapist for over 25 years working primarily with adults in physical rehabilitation settings. She is currently the owner of Mind Body Fitness, PLLC, based in Lexington, Kentucky, and focuses on community wellness by teaching older adult group fitness classes. The focus of Anne’s classes are to help each student reach their optimal fitness and health levels through evidence based exercises that target functional fitness and total body training.

She received her Bachelors in Social Work from Cornell University and her Masters in Occupational Therapy from Columbia University. She is a certified NASM personal trainer and is certified by the American Senior Fitness Association as a Senior Fitness Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor. Anne has completed trainings in older adult fitness from Silver Sneakers, Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program, Brains and Balance Past 60, Drums Alive and Golden Beats. She is also a facilitator for the HealthRHYTHMS drum empowerment program and a health provider for HeartMath.

Anne is committed to ongoing education in the area of older adult fitness and is especially interested in brain health, fall prevention, wellness education and mind body medicine. She is trained in holistic OT modalities such as the Interactive Metronome, and Therapeutic Listening. Anne believes that occupational therapists can make a significant contribution to older adult wellness through the use of exercise, physical activities, health promotion and education to help older people maximize their independence and engagement in meaningful activities throughout the lifespan.
